How to unsend an email from your Gmail account

          Sometimes It happens to send our messages from our gmail to another gmail account whom we doesn’t actually want to send. Many of us feel worried and irritated whenever we send an email to a wrong person. So in order to solve this problem , Google has bought us an “undo send” feature in it's new gmail.

          This Gmail’s undo send feature actually waits for certain amount of time to send it to the recipient. This feature prevents from being sending of mails to the person whom we don’t want to.Not only these Google has bought many more settings in its new gmail like confidential mode, AI features, add-ons etc.

         
        If you enable this undo setting, the mail which you want to send stops for few seconds as it checks whether the user wants to undo it or not and then the mail is sent to the receiver.To use this Undo send feature, you need to go to settings of your Gmail and enable it.So, let’s see the steps:

1) Sign in your Gmail account on your computer by visiting to www.gmail.com.

2) In the upper right corner click on Settings.

3) In the drop down menu of Settings, again choose the Settings option.

4) Check the undo send option.

5) Enable the undo send, by putting a tick mark.

6) Set the number of seconds you want to prevent the mail from being sent. You can choose 5,10,20 or 30seconds.

7) Save the changes that you have made by scrolling down.

To test this undo send feature:

1)Click on compose on the upper left corner of your Gmail account page.

2)Type your message and click on the send button. 

3)Now, you can see a message saying that:"Your message has been sent. Undo. View message."

4)Click on Undo to unsend the message.

  Gmail will not send that message and displays it whether you want to make any changes and resend it. If not, you can just close the message and it will be moved to your drafts folder.
